The Legends Private Residences in Edmonton’s ICE District are perched atop Edmonton’s new luxury JW Marriott Hotel. The hotel spans floors 1 – 22 while The Legends Residences are located between floors 23 and 54. The Legends offers a privileged lifestyle with spectacular views, unparalleled amenities, iconic architecture and finishes, and a premium location that connects to all of downtown Edmonton. 

 

FLIS Interior Design's client lives in Vancouver, but wanted to have an upscale look condo that he can rent out. It’s a darker palette meant to immolate the sexy lifestyle of a downtown executive male living in an upscale space with views for days.

There were some layout challenges in the space with it being super small and having a huge structural post in the middle. The building had a suggested floor plan which didn’t work, it cut-off the space making it an inefficient layout. There was a TV floor outlet in the middle of the room, so we had to reroute it through a bedroom and mounted the TV on the wall for an optimal space plan.

 

We created a bespoke ceiling feature in the living/dining room and a major one in the master bedroom. Both out of simple MDF, using creative design and installation implementation – a real challenge in a 912 sq. ft. space. We used full-size furniture throughout, including a 6-8 persons extendible dining table. The coffee table is custom made and was designed to Kiki the column, as well as wrap around it for maximum space. It acts as an echo to produce rhythm through the space.

 

Building Features: The high-rise condo building features 264 residences ranging from over 500 sq. ft. to over 4,000 sq. ft., which include luxurious finishes and light-filled spaces with oversized windows. The high-rise condo tower features a 5th floor entertaining space called the Legends Residence Club that offers a refined and sophisticated atmosphere with unique direct access to Rogers Arena. Residents are able to take advantage of the luxury Hotel’s a-la-cart services including spa, pool and dining options. Who wouldn’t want to live there?!
